NRSC is currently a unit under Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ministry committed to promoting road safety in Nepal. Our mission is to reduce the number of road traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities in the country, and create a safe and sustainable transport system for all road users. At NRSC, our vision is to make road travel safe, with a transport system that is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly. We believe that everyone has the right to travel safely on the roads, and that it is our responsibility to make this a reality. Our work is guided by the principles of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety, which aims to reduce road traffic fatalities by 50% by 2030. We work closely with the government, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and the community to implement evidence-based interventions that address the key risk factors for road traffic crashes. We believe that road safety is a shared responsibility, and that everyone has a role to play in creating safer roads. We work to raise awareness among the public about the importance of road safety, and promote safe behavior among all road users. We also work to improve the safety of vehicles and infrastructure, and strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies to enforce road safety regulations. At NRSC, we are committed to continuously improving our work, and ensuring that our interventions are based on the latest evidence and best practices.
