Welcome to the National Road Safety Council (NRSC) website. We are a national coordinating body for road safety in Nepal, committed to reducing the number of road accidents and promoting safer roads.
Established through a Formation and Operational Directive in 2016, the NRSC was created to bring coordination between agencies and set the pace for the implementation of road safety activities. We remain dedicated to our mandate and continue to work with relevant stakeholders to promote safer roads and reduce road accidents.
Our goal is to ensure that all road users in our country are safe and secure, whether they are drivers, passengers, pedestrians, or cyclists. We believe that road safety is a collective responsibility and that everyone has a role to play in making our roads safer.
As an organization, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and effective communication. We believe in working collaboratively with stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector, to achieve our goals.
Through this website, we aim to provide you with up-to-date information on road safety issues, initiatives, and campaigns. We also welcome your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve our services and better serve our communities.
Thank you for visiting our website, and we look forward to working with you to promote road safety in our country.

NRSC is currently a unit under Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ministry committed to promoting road safety in Nepal. Our mission is to reduce the number of road traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities in the country, and create a safe and sustainable transport system for all road users. At NRSC, our vision is to make road travel safe, with a transport system that is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly. We believe that everyone has the right to travel safely on the roads, and that it is our responsibility to make this a reality. Our work is guided by the principles of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety, which aims to reduce road traffic fatalities by 50% by 2030. We work closely with the government, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and the community to implement evidence-based interventions that address the key risk factors for road traffic crashes. We believe that road safety is a shared responsibility, and that everyone has a role to play in creating safer roads. We work to raise awareness among the public about the importance of road safety, and promote safe behavior among all road users. We also work to improve the safety of vehicles and infrastructure, and strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies to enforce road safety regulations. At NRSC, we are committed to continuously improving our work, and ensuring that our interventions are based on the latest evidence and best practices. We believe that by working together, we can create a safe and sustainable transport system for Nepal, and make our roads safer for everyone.
